About Our Club

The Sculpins were originally established in 1973, and have been training and developing artistic swimmers ever since. The team practices and trains at various pools throughout the Capital District. The Sculpins Booster Club, made up of parents of the team, is a 501.c.3 not-for-profit organization and welcomes your tax deductible contributions. United Way Campaign participants can donate by designating Sculpins Synchro on their pledge card.

Our swimmers come from communities throughout the Capital District and range in age from 7 to 18. They practice one to four times a week depending on age, interest level, and ability. Personal confidence and self esteem are nurtured on a team where the individual efforts are positively reinforced by the other team members and coaching staff.

Our coaching philosophy emphasizes both personal and team development. It integrates the physical and mental aspects of the sport to provide an experience that will benefit the swimmers throughout their lives. Swimmers of all ability levels are welcome to join Sculpins Synchro.
